A different sort of survival strategy

This is not one I would have thought of.  Presumably with the right type of Kevlar-polythene suit, one could do this oneself.
You just need to find one of those big birds.
Ella Davies, BBC News,  11 July 2011 (Hat tip: NC)
Researchers found that 15% of the snails eaten survived digestion and were found alive in the birds' droppings.
This evidence suggests that bird predation could be a key factor in how snail populations spread.

Take a good book with ya and a flashlight. It maybe a very boring wait moving through the digestive tract. Oh and nose plugs would be good too.

Yes maybe they can come up with a back illuminated kindle!

Nose plugs - good idea - I'll add that to the list.
